Delete account and data
Wunderbar Alt · Last updated: 12 October 2026
You can delete your Wunderbar Alt account and the data linked to it at any time.
Delete in the app
- Open the app and sign in.
- As a senior: Gear icon → “My Settings” → “Help & account”. In any other role: Gear icon → “Settings”, section “Account”.
- Tap “Delete account” and confirm.
For security, the app asks for your password once more beforehand (if you signed in with Google or Apple, for your account e-mail address instead). The deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
Without the app / by e-mail
If you have no access to the app, write to us at ki.gwendrich@gmail.com from the e-mail address of your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm the deletion to you.
Which data is deleted
When your account is deleted, all personal data attached to it is irreversibly removed:
- Login details and profile: e-mail address and password (login account), name, date of birth, gender, language, country, profile picture, time zone, selected messaging channel.
- Place of residence: stored addresses.
- Health data (Art. 9 GDPR): medications including intake schedules, stock and intake log; wellbeing entries and their settings; drinking amounts, daily goals and drinking log; health consents you have given.
- Appointments and everyday life: appointments, shopping and errand lists, supplies.
- Connections and roles: links to family members, friends and service providers, roles, responsibilities, invitations, guardianship procedures and substitute access.
- Family feature: short messages and photos sent and received — the image files are additionally removed from file storage.
- Notifications: the device push token, escalation settings and events, reminder logs, message confirmations.
- App settings and subscription assignment: interface settings, the account’s subscription assignment, documented purchase consents.
- Service provider data (if any): service provider profile including photos, colleague connections, agreements and assignment records.
- Marketing list: an entry in the newsletter list is deleted as well, based on the same e-mail address.
Note: if you are the administrator of an organisation, the organisation must be transferred or dissolved first — only then can the account be deleted. The app will point this out to you in that case.
Which data is retained and for how long
- Backups: The database is backed up. Your data disappears from the backups within 30 days of deletion.
- Anonymous deletion statistics: When an account is deleted, an entry without any personal reference is stored — time, country code, type of role and account age in days. It contains neither a name nor an e-mail address nor any identifier leading back to you, and is therefore not personal data.
- Support requests: 90 days from the last time they were worked on — if you delete your account, 90 days from the deletion
- Agreements with service providers, including the associated assignments and service records: 90 days from the deletion of the senior's account
- Record of the acknowledged usage notice (email address, time, version, role): 3 years from the deletion of your account
- Emergency notifications and emergency cases (trigger, time, who was notified, who confirmed): 3 years
- Log of security-critical actions: 365 days
- Payments: Paid subscriptions are billed exclusively through the Google Play Store. Purchase and invoice data is held by Google, not by us; Google’s retention and privacy terms apply to it.
Beyond these points we do not retain any personal data about you after an account deletion. Our privacy policy is authoritative and more detailed.
